- Its single electric engine produces 54.4hp and 120Nm
- It has minor plan changes over the regular KUV100
The design
Generally, the creation spec eKUV100's design is the same as the burning motor fueled KUV100. The main significant differences lie in the new shut-off front grille with little arrow-shaped addition. Six of which are done in blue, and the two folds – one on each front bumper - that cover the charging ports. Other than this, there are also some blue accents on
the headlights and taillights. The number plate housing on the back end has a bizarre '+' and '- ' sign, to help further differentiate it.
There are some contrasts between the eKUV at the Auto Expo and the one which is coming next year. Most outstandingly, the model at the Expo had a different arrangement of alloy wheels with blue inserts in its all spokes. Mahindra Electric (ME) badging on the charging fold, and an exceptional three-sided badge on the C-pillar.
The Powertrain
The Mahindra eKUV100 comes fitted with a 15.9kWh battery pack, that controls an electric engine that produces 54.4hp (40kW) and 120Nm. Rivals and expected price
Once dispatched, the Mahindra eKUV100 will not have any immediate opponents in India. Nonetheless, this will change considering, Maruti Suzuki is dealing with an all-electric Wagon R, and Hyundai is also supposed to be a developing yet affordable EV for our market. Considering the pricing of electric cars in India, the Mahindra eKUV100 is expected to be 9-13 lakhs. Or in some cases, Mahindra is considered quite expensive then, Ekuv could be the most affordable EV in India. Less expensive than both eVerito of 9.12lakh and Tata Tigor EV of 9.588 lakh.
